So today is mother’s day, and Katelyn has been saying how she wants alive flowers, not roses.  She has also been talking about how she wants to do a garden, but we live on the second floor in our apartment complex – but I decided that’s not an excuse to not have a garden.  I got Katelyn some flowers – which were a fundraiser to help kids attend school in Guatemala. I then got two Topsy Turny tomato planters and we decided to plant strawberries, tomatoes, cinnamon basil and sweet mint.  We plan on trying to get a few more plants as we still have some potting soil left over and plenty of space!

April 28th Is my birthday.  Everyone is asking for my wishlist…. well here it is.  My Wishlist in all its glory.  You could of course buy me a lump of coal but I might not like you anymore.

So I saw this car parked today in a very unusual (and possibly illegal) parallel parking position.  It was the first time I saw a parking job like this, and thought it was photo worthy.

The following are my new years resolutions for 2012, because you need to accomplish something before the world ends I am told.  

1. I want to be gainfully self employed and off from disability making websites, facebook applications and the what not.
2. I want an automobile, really want one with four wheel drive because of lake effect snow here in Michigan.
3. I want to get a new computer – this one is six years old and crying on a daily basis.
4. I want to loose weight – be 180 lbs by the end of the year.
5. I want to have $2,000 in savings.
6. I want to find a church I like and go to it regularly.
7. I want to write a book.
8. I want to vlog.

Reasonable right? And if its not the world is ending anyway so no one will be able to hold me accountable to it in 2013!

So while I was at social security last week with Katelyn cleaning up some incompetent peoples messes and we noticed George Takei on there big HD Screen (social security is bankrupt right) plugging Social (In)Security’s Website.  I’ll show the Social (In)Security movie first, but the second movie is all I could really think of while watching the first.

This is what my computer monitors have been looking like all day….. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

So today homeland security is out in force protecting us from things we don’t know happen.  I’m not trying to mock them, because I’m pretty sure they have thwarted a lot, and just really don’t want us to know.  But today I was riding the buses around town and there were a bunch of homeland security agents in Downtown Kalamazoo, one of which had four legs and was very well behaved.  I got to pet him.  Sorry the pictures are so blurry, my phone had a smudge on the lens, and it does not zoom well.  I din’t feel like walking up, taking a picture and walking away… but you don’t see homeland security much in my area.

I honestly wish there were more homeland security.  They serve a wonderful and well needed role, and its sad they are facing cut backs because they are so successful at keeping us safe.

I don’t see a point in chasing around a dead pig, slapping each others butts and wearing tights… but this was funny.
